New visitor visa stream!

"Frequent Visitor" Stream visa announced for Chinese nationals

A new Visitor Visa stream is coming. The “Frequent Traveller” stream will become available to Chinese citizens this Saturday.
The Australian Government has announced that it will trial the “Frequent Traveller” stream of visitor visa for Chinese citizens from 19 November 2016. It is hoped that the visa type will become available for applicants of other nationalities in the future.
This visitor visa will be valid for 10 years allowing unlimited entries into Australia with a base cost of $1000.
A visitor may come to Australia as a tourist or to engage in business activity. The visa holder may stay in Australia for 3 months following their arrival however they may not be in Australia for more than 12 months in any 24 month period.
